Infrastructure |
The
school campus consists of an
array of facilities, which include
the Main Building
and new assembly hall, various
Dormitories with
modern toilet facilities,
Staff accommodation, the Hospital
and utilities like a modern
Water Distribution System, Sewage
Treatment Plant and Solar heating
equipment and numerous playing
grounds.
The
Main Building
consists of an Art Room, Classrooms,
Computer Department, Modern
kitchen, Dining Hall, Laboratories
and Library. |

Assembly
hall
A new assembly hall has
been added to the school
campus as part of the centenary
celebrations in Dec 04.
Built to last, it consists
of two badminton courts,
a well designed stage with
changing rooms for performers,
lighting & ample ventilation.
A basketball court is also
under construction &
will soon be dedicated to
the students. |

Art
Room
The art room which
encourages the imaginative
and creative world of the
students. The children here
learn about sketching, painting,
clay painting & glass
painting.

Large airy classrooms overlooking
the valleys make study time

Computer
Department
The Computer
department of the School
has 55 computers available
for the students. The
computer lab has an WiFi Internet
facility which the children
can use under supervision.
The children can avail
e-mail facility.
The computer lab also
has scanners, router, access points,
printers and DVD writers.
A new HP laserjet network printer
has been added to the
lab to facilitate printing.
On the whole the computer
department gives an insight
into the kaleidoscopic
mini world of the use
of technology. |

Now
porcelain plates have
been introduced &
the boys are trained to
use forks, spoons &
knives during meals. Both
vegetarian and non-vegetarian
diets
are served.
The food is cooked under
strict supervision of
the Caterer who ensures
that it is prepared under
clean and hygienic conditions. |

Dinning
Hall:
All boys of St. Peter's
dine together so that
they
can socialize with students
of different communities.
The
boys arrange themselves
house wise namely Ashlin,
Cornwill, Drury and Rowan
supervised by the teacher
on duty. The Catering
in-charge provides the
boys with a nutritious
and well planned diet.
The boys also learn about
table manners and the
art of dining together.
The boys get three meals
and the required snacks
along with tea or milk.

Science
Laboratories
The
Science Laboratory encourages
the scientific temper
of Students. We have well
equipped laboratories
in Physics. Chemistry
and Biology. Experiments
needed to fulfill ICSE
requirements are performed
by the students, fulfilling
the curiosity of the learner.

Library
A library is a minor institution
of knowledge on its own.
The School library is
well stocked with books
of all varieties covering
the various fields of
education. The students
are guided well by a trained
Librarian. The Library
includes books on short
stories, plays, poems,
fiction, classics, adventure
stories, general knowledge,
encyclopedias, science,
history, geography, travel
& tourism, art &
photography. The Library
also subscribes to various
journals, magazines and
newspapers to keep the
student updated with news
from around the world. |

Playgrounds
The school campus is interspaced
with numerous playing grounds
and gardens which makes
it look beautiful and gorgeous. |

BOARDING
ACCOMODATION :
The senior boys from classes
VIII to X are accommodated at
Albert House and Lawrence Villa.
The junior students from classes
3 to 7 are accommodated in Bason
Hall, Flora House, Jubilee Hall
and Rhodesia House.
The students are placed in different
dormitories according to their
age. A trained Matron/Warden
is in -charge of the respective
dormitories. With the help of
assistance they ensure that
the dormitories are kept clean
and the children are well taken
care of. The Matron/Warden supervise
the daily activities of the
children in their respective
dormitories
Boys
are housed in different buildings.
They are as follows :-
Bason Hall : Approximately 75
boys under a matron / warden |

Jubilee Hall : Approximately
60 boys of about the same

This house accommodates
the youngest (7 to 8 years)
students. Their meals and
other boarding activities
are specially supervised
by the matron.
They are also under the
personal supervision of
the Principal and House
Masters. |

| HOSPITAL
St. Peter's has a well organized
and well equipped hospital,
which looks into the health
of the students.The hospital
is looked after by a trained
and qualified resident nurse
and has regular visits from
the school doctor. There are
qualified doctors who are attached
to the school hospital. |

| The
hospital has 10 beds for
general patients and 10
beds for serious cases.The
hospital has also been
set up to look into the
following requirements:
1.
To look into the personal
hygiene of students.
2. To provide medication
as and when required.
3. To provide Medical
check ups for the students
each term.

| It
is the duty of the school hospital
to inform the ward's parents
in case of serious illness.
For special treatment the ward
is sent to reputed and well
equipped hospitals. Medicines
brought by the students have
to be handed over to the school
and to be taken under the supervision
of the school nurse.  |
